Leitbetriebe Austria represents exemplary companies in the Austrian economy and offers a unique platform for positioning as a model enterprise, fostering exclusive relationship management, and enabling trusted knowledge transfer. Leitbetriebe are businesses that not only achieve economic success but also take on societal, environmental, and social-political responsibility. Certification as a Leitbetrieb is granted after the successful completion of a specially developed qualification process.

In 2025, VERKEHRSBUERO was named “Lehrbetrieb des Jahres 2025” by the Tourism and Leisure Industry Division of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. With one of the most diverse training programs in the industry, the company sends a strong signal of excellence in developing young talent. Over more than three decades, VERKEHRSBUERO has successfully trained more than 1,200 apprentices, many of them with outstanding results.
Together with the City of Vienna, the „TOP-Lehrbetrieb“ Quality Seal is awarded by the Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Labour, the Austrian Trade Union Federation and the Federation of Austrian Industry to companies in Vienna who offer outstanding training schemes for apprentices. For the award, which is valid for four years, companies must meet very stringent evaluation criteria. VERKEHRSBUERO trains numerous apprentices every year; in doing so they not only help meet the steadily increasing demand for qualified skilled workers, but at the same time also offer young people a very practice-oriented education with a variety of opportunities. Above all we are delighted that our Café Central was nominated the top “Apprentice Training Company 2017”.
In 2025, VERKEHRSBUERO will be awarded the Bronze Seal at the Best Recruiters Awards, recognizing our commitment to the application process. The evaluation in the Best Recruiters study is based on 330 criteria across 10 categories along the candidate journey, from career websites to mobile recruiting and social media, as well as the quality of job postings and response times to applications. Excellence is recognized with Gold, Silver, and Bronze seals for above-average performance.
Eurotours was awarded the designation “Excellent Tyrolean Training Company” for the years 2026–2028 in November 2025.
Since its introduction in 2000, this distinction has stood for the highest standards in dual vocational training. The award is presented annually by the Province of Tyrol and entitles the recognized companies to use the designation for three years in their business dealings. The basis for the award is a comprehensive evaluation process involving the Tyrolean Economic Chamber and the Tyrolean Chamber of Labour.
Eurotours was honored at the prestigious 2025 World Travel Awards Europe Gala in two categories – as “Europe’s Leading Destination Management Company” and as “Austria’s Leading Tour Operator.” This recognition is one of the most significant awards in the travel industry and represents the highest level of acknowledgment in international tourism.
The Ruefa Flagship Store in Eisenstadt will receive the Austrian Interior Design Award in 2025. The awards, held for the fifth time in 2025, recognize outstanding achievements in interior design and product design in Austria. Ruefa impressed in the category “Interior Design – Shops and Retail” with its new flagship store in Eisenstadt. The new design will be applied at additional locations in the future, with the concept already implemented in Eisenstadt, Vienna, and Linz.
In the hospitality sector, numerous hotels have been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. By 2028, all properties are expected to hold this certification. As an Austrian congress provider, Austropa Interconvention also carries the “Green Meetings and Green Events” ecolabel, thereby taking on a pioneering role in the environmentally friendly planning and execution of events.
The building of our corporate headquarters at AUSTRIA CAMPUS 8 (Jakov-Lind-Strasse 15, 1020 Vienna) has been awarded “LEED 2009 CORE AND SHELL DEVELOPMENT GOLD” by the Green Business Certification Inc. and Green Building Council in August 2020. Thus, the corresponding requirements on the part of the LEED Green Building Rating System Certification were successfully fulfilled.
