According to the motto “Glücksmomente am Schiff” (moments of happiness on board), the red and white DDSG fleet, consisting of nine modern ships, departs for countless boat trips during the day and in the evening. Whether it’s a leisurely cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau, a sightseeing cruise along Vienna’s Danube Canal or an evening cruise with plenty of entertainment and culinary delights: from fine dining to Viennese delicacies, from Austropop and Schlager to jazz and musical stars in concert, there is something for every taste and personal moment of happiness.
DDSG Blue Danube Schifffahrt was founded in 1995 as the successor company to the First Danube Steam Navigation Company established in 1829. With a fleet of nine ships (MS Wien, MS Vindobona, MS Blue Danube, MS Admiral Tegetthoff, MS Kaiserin Elisabeth, MS Dürnstein, MS Wachau, MS Austria and MS Vienna), the inland navigation company transports over 400,000 passengers annually.
DDSG Blue Danube Schifffahrt is owned 50 percent each by Wien Holding and VERKEHRSBUERO.
